Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2015.
Don January was hired to mold this terrain along Eagle Mountain Lake, building a course once known by its wildly confusing name of Lake Country Country Club. Nine holes opened in the 1970s, and the layout was eventually expanded to 18 and named Eagle Mountain Country Club. The course features elevation changes, tight fairways, and water hazards on 8 holes, as well as an abundance of out-of-bounds markers.
The most difficult hole is the long par-4 No. 3, which plays 428 yards. The back nine features only one par 3 and one par 5, but every par 4 plays under 400 yards.
After a renovation in 2009, the facility was renamed Fort Worth CC.
Getting there : Take Loop 820 west to the Azle Ave. exit and turn right. Travel to Boat Club Rd. and turn right, then proceed 4 miles until you see a sign.
