Panorama Golf Club - Winged Foot Course

Fun course to play, some great shots. Good conditions for early Dec, just needs a little TLC..... and H2O in places. 27 great holes, doglegs left and right and some elevation changes too. Can't wait to play there again

For those of us who’s game relies on your shots rolling up onto the greens - forget it. The area for perhaps 20 feet off the greens is soft like a pillow and your approach shots that are short stop or plug there. Numerous areas short of the green were so moist and wet that they were marked as ground under repair. The greens likewise were soft as short pile carpeting yet the pins were placed on slopes that made it difficult (at best) to judge the speed much less the break. This was in stark contrast to the fairways and rough - hard as a rock. Back nine took 3 hours because of a twosome who failed to try to keep pace with the group in front of them - they acted like they owned the course and were going to take their own time in playing it.

Overall I enjoyed the course! They need staff help to keep pace of play under 3 hours per nine! Two groups of slow players should never back up a course if managed properly. Rates have gone up and that’s fine but the management at this club has always been absent to its guests and members based on my experience. The membership deserves better!

Fast greens, a few tough approach shots and great layout!

Panorama never disappoints, very fair Golfnow rates for a great 27hole layout, that includes an island green! I always take advantage of the best rates a aila le.on Golfnow!!

I've played Panorama a handful of times over the past decade and a half since I used to back in highschool. The greens are the best I've ever seen them currently, I've plated almost every corse from Huntsville to Houston, and for the money, Panorama is definitely amoung my favorites! Great greens, great carts and amenities, complimentary range balls included in green fee, and a pretty technical yet fun 27 holes. Best deal around.

This course is well maintained and very enjoyable. It has its challenges which make for a great course. Some of the best greens in the area - very fast.
The only negative would be that because they are so fast, some greens are a bit unfair, as there are no flat areas; hit the hole or it’s gone down the hill - even with a soft stroke.
It’s one of my favorites to play in the area. Priced just right, and green fee normally includes a small bucket of balls.

played the Winged Foot and Thunderbird nines. Staff was very friendly and the course and the range were in very good shape. Greens rolled fast and true, fairways did not have any bare spots and overall condition of the course was very good. Played as a twosome and the starter gave us the choice of starting on the Winged Foot nine, which was stacked with foursomes, or going off on the Thunderbird nine since it wasn't crowded. We finished our front 9 on Thunderbird in an hour and a half. Grabbed a hot dog and drink at the turn then the starter gave us the option of playing the Rolling Hills nine, which was stacked up with foursomes or continuing on Winged Foot, which wasn't. We opted for that and finished that nine in one and a half hours. A 3 hour round in 93 degree heat was worth every penny. We really appreciated the marshal showing the flexibility of their 3 nines to us. We will definitely go back and play Panorama Village again. Great value for the experience.

I love this course, it’s one of my favorites. With that said the greens are not only fast but they are also hard so sticking anything is very difficult. Be prepared to aim for the driveway of the geeen
