Located in Austin, Spicewood Golf Course is part of Balcones Country Club, a private club located about a mile away. While Balcones C.C. is entirely private access, Spicewood is semi-private and offers daily public tee times, though members of Balcones have standing access here. Spicewood is northwest of downtown Austin and plays in the cusp of the Hill Country, making for some dramatic elevation changes, including a couple severely elevated greens. The club features a grill, pro shop and a small, irons-only driving range.
