Definitely check it out!
Great value for money! Greens and fairways were money. Bunkers and rough need work. Free range balls was a nice surprise! Will definitely go again and bring a friend.
Cart path day
Cart path only due to storm a couple of days before and it was pretty booked up. So pace of play was very slow. Course was in good shape and it’s a good value. Biggest Pickleball gathering in history going on, that was interesting. 😊
Course is in good condition with some/minimal hard pan in 'fringe' areas (not in middle of fairways or greens). Sand traps and greens really nice.
One can see work going on all around course that doesn't affect play which is a great sign of continual maintenance.
Only suggestion for additional improvement are the cart paths. These are real 'back-breakers' and need to be repaired/resurfaced.
Fairways in good condition. Greens excellent. Tee boxes need work.
Average day of golf
The course is showing it's age and lack of funding. One of the 9 holes is still closed after more than a year. The pace of play on a Monday was nice. The fairways had acceptable grass for winter and the greens were in good shape for winter. There is little to no grass outside of the fairways. The cart inventory needs replacing with most of them having torn seats and showing their age. The layout is still nice but the conditions not what it once was when it was a nice private course.
I play here often, I like this place been going there for years. But something that stood at yesterday Sunday was the starters attitude. Someone needs to bring that up to his attention. It’s OK to reprimand people for not staying on the cartpath when they’re supposed to, but you don’t have to be rude about it. The group that I was playing with also mentioned that they waved at this certain person as he drove by during the round, and just looked at him and ignored him, and he did the same to me. Don’t need people like that on the course.
Fine round
Four out of five stars. With the exception of the tee boxes, which get a rating of one star -- bare, dry, uneven and VERY VERY HARD. The course should provide hammers.
Best bang for your buck
The 2 daily hot deals are $27.99 and every tee time after 3pm is $30
You will not find a better course to play for $30 in all of Houston.
Thinking Membership
Tee boxes a little worn if you play the forward tee boxes. No sand in traps. A lot of rain this past month.
Fine conditions, impure greens
Simple layout but the changes in elevation make the course still interesting. The fairways were in fine shape. The greens looked ok visibly but didn't roll very pure, even for (basically) a public course. It’s worth it if you get a deal but no way for full price.
Exceeds Expectations!!
I went as a single to test out the course for my group I usually play with.
I have to say that for 40 dollars you will NOT find a better course. The greens and fairways were extremely well kept and lush.
Having range balls included was such a nice perk as well. The pro shop staff was extremely helpful.
If it’s your first time playing it might be a little confusing to navigate to the starter tee as they rotate between 3 different courses but 10/10 value. Top 3 favorite local course in a 25 mile radius.
