You get what you pay for
I paid $15 to play 18 holes, cart included, so I definitely didn't expect much. At the same time, there are some incredibly basic things that golfers take for granted no matter where they play. The tee boxes weren't tee boxes. They were elevated like a tee box, but there wasn't grass in the tee boxes, it was basically just weeds and clovers which made it very difficult to hit an iron from. There weren't defined fairways, so no matter where you hit you were hitting the ball off dirt, uneven clumps of grass, or more clovers. There's nothing more frustrating than crushing a fantastic drive right down the middle, and having a tough approach shot because you're ball is deep in clovers or sitting right between two clumps of grass on dirt. I only saw one sand trap on the course, and it was pretty much overgrown with weeds. If you can't even maintain a sandtrap, your course is in trouble. Yes it was cheap, but it's a completely different game when the course is in such rough shape. Friendly staff though!
this course is under repair.
Not ready storm damage no markers on most T boxes. Rain must have done damage to the course. Not worth the price.
Maintained well with good greens
Well maintained greens. Open fairways on front, but they narrow on the back. Sand traps could use some work. Overall, a very pleasant day of golf.
Course was very fair, good opportunity to score well.
Fairways were in very good condition. 3 or 4 greens had large bare spots from summer heat. Also greens had been aerated recently and were very slow. But, really enjoyed playing the course for the first time.
Greens had holes. Only a few had been filled with sand. Impossible to putt on.
Not a difficult course but the greens are in terrible shape. It is impossible to putt on them. There are holes and only a few greens had sand on them so the ball bounces to the cup.
Getting better all the time
Staff very friendly and helpful. Course has been worked on extensively and is getting better all the time. It's obvious a lot of work has gone into fixing it up.
Average
Grass was in poor shape. One tee bock has 2 inches of clover and uncut grass.
NOT WORTH PLAYING
I rarely write reviews but I wish someone had warned me about this course. Most of the tee boxes were overgrown, and three of the holes HAD NO TEE BLOCKS at all, so with four sets of tees for each hole you just had to guess which tee to use, plus no ball washers anywhere. The fairways were so terrible I was rolling my ball on top of weeds just to get it off the ground. It seems that the only thing they are trying to take care of is the greens as they were in fair condition. I realize it is only spring and most courses are not in the best of condition but this course would need months to get back in shape so it is just a waste of time and money to play it right now. I hope management reads the review and takes some action as the course is in a pretty area and has a nice layout so it is a real shame that it has been allowed to deteriorate to this point.
