Not worth your time
Found a deal on GolfNow app. Went ahead & booked it.
First of this "could" be a great course. The layout is awesome. However, to be great, you have to mow the grass , water the greens from time to time, do maintenance on the building & carts.
We lost balls just off the fairway because the clover was 8-10" high in some places on front nine. The back nine for some reason was in much better shape relatively speaking.
Had hoped this would be a good "repeat " course for the $$ - but not so I guess.
If some work was regularly done as far normal upkeep this could be a jewel of a course.
Pro shop is falling in due to leaky roof. Did not see any place to eat or buy anything more than just some balls.
Pace if play was great - we virtually had the course to ourselves.
Very poor greens and fairways
Worst course I ever played. The greens were like putting on gravel
Fun Course
A couple Greens need some work. Fun Layout. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Course
Course was in good shape. Greens need some work right now. Nothing they can't fix. They had just aerated. Over all good course for the money.
Poorly Maintained
Horrible condition. The greens were patchy and the fairways were grown over. Very poorly maintained!
Hard to play
This course is hard to play in that they don't cut the fairways/roughs often. Both me and the guy I played with lost numerous balls when hit straight down the fairway or light rough. The greens were also somewhat tall with lots of burn. On the positive side, the staff was extremely nice and helpful.
Great value for the money
My wife and I tried this course when we saw a deal the GolfNow website. My wife, who is just picking up the game, prefers courses with a little less traffic and pressure. River Chase turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. While not in perfect shape, the fairways were groomed and greens fairly smooth. 2 greens did gave large dead spots but the rest were fine. The course is very picturesque, laid out in a beautiful hardwood area, with some stunning elevated tees. Lots of small ponds and the large coursing river make the layout very challenging. The course operator was extremely friendly and helpful. While we live 35 minutes away, we will definitely return to enjoy this course.
Not a very good course
Course was not cut,The greens were in very bad shape. We only paid $14.00 per person but I would not play there again if they paid me.The score cards were wrong some of the par threes were marked as par fours. The tee boxes were not marked. The only markings was a white rock with a mail box sticker noting what hole you were playing. The staff was outstanding but the golf was a waist of time and money.
This course is SORRY. And needs a whole lot of work.
This course is in very bad shape and needs a lot of work.
It is way over priced.
Fairly challenging layout, pretty friendly staff , but needed some work.
The course needed some work, but we did play it in the winter, when all the grass on the fairways and greens was dead and after a heavy rain a few days earlier. A couple of the greens had some bare spots but it did look as though an effort was underway to repair them. Also the cart paths needed work. Since we only paid $17 on a Sunday to play this fairly challenging layout, we feel it was still a good deal and we would like to play it again when things green up to see how the course looks. Naturally we were not expecting to play Augusta National at that price.
