Legend Oaks Golf Club, in Summerville has been voted one of the top-three courses in the LowCountry in a vote of The Charleston Business Journal readers and the course is the home to the Charleston Open.
At 7,011 yards from the tips, this Scott Pool-designed course has a slope rating of 132, making it as tough a challenge as you can find for a public course. It's a course with long, winding fairways and many opportunities for trouble.
"Pete Dye also had his hand in the design process," said a TravelGolf.com writer.
Legend Oaks is normally well maintained and its biggest selling point comes in the form of its green fees. Depending on the season, normally $60 or less will get you on and playing.
