Santee Cooper Country Club wanders through a verdant landscape of native foliage and pines. It is the sister course to Lake Marion Golf Course. Both have been renovated with miniverde greens that provide excellent putting surfaces and stay in great condition all year. The course runs adjacent to the sparkling waters of Lake Marion, offering a view over the entire lake. The challenging layout will thoroughly test your shot-making abilities with difficult doglegs, elevation changes, and strategically placed bunkers. There are a number of demanding par-3s as well as several par-5s that offer interestingly designed risk-reward opportunities. One of these is the par-5 7th, one of the course's most challenging holes. It starts off with a tee shot up a narrow fairway and then requires a long carry over water.
