Shannon Greens Golf Club

Course is in rough shape. Bahai grass in fairways up to your knees. Many areas unmowed. Tee boxes are horrible. Greens are ok but need some tlc. Used to like playing here but over the last two years course has declined rapidly.

Shannon green golf course is a pleasure to play. The greens roll true and have a little speed to them. The fairways need a little work but we enjoyed the round. I would recommend this courseto all my friends .

This year we found that the maintenance deteriorated - one of the major things - the bunkers are growing grass - not maintained at all. It used to be worth the drive from Santee.

Staff was EXCELLENT and very accommodating. Course was in good condition despite their recent weather (ice storm). Pace of play was a little slower than my group is used to but we realize it is early in the season. Overall I would recommend this course when visiting the Santee area.

Considering the winter and it's affect, this course was in decent shape. Fairways and greens were not over seeded. Greens were extremely fast. Enjoyed the round of golf even though they have changed the course somewhat.

The fairways are in a horrible condition. Much of the grass was brown and looked as though it was a recently mowed hayfield. The rough was also exceptionally long making it easy to "lose" a golf ball that was only a few feet from the fairway. I understand from speaking with the proshop staff that they've had major issues with the fairways and have recently sprayed a herbicide designed to kill all but the bermuda grass. Hopefully when they are done with this process they will have functional fairways. And in fairness, I do have to praise the quality of the greens. They were firm, relatively fast and rolled true. That's not enough however to get me to come back until the fairways are in playable condition.

the fairways are cut and the greens are nice. those are the two main qualities i look for in a course. course could use some new golf carts and maybe some renovations but overall had a great round of golf (for the money you just cant go wrong)..i would definitely go back and would also recommend this course to any skill level player!

I enjoy playing this course. The course has some challenging holes and some easy holes. The greens are in great shape. I play here often.

This is the third or fourth year I have been playing this course, and conditions have improved each year.. Greens are in very good shape.

In an attempt to maintain your reputation, I would suggest you take this course off your list. The fairways are full of weeds and when your drive lands, all you see is a cloud of dust. Tees have very little grass and the greens are not in good shape. This was a very sad golfing experience.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The greens were in great shape, but the fairways need alot of work to have grass for a good lie to hit your irons from.

Tee to green, the course is fun. The fairways are like rough, not in very good condition. The greens rolled true, and the pin placements were challenging.

Was my first round of the year and was a delightful course to play. Would like to see how lush it could get in the middle of the season. Was a great place to shake off the rust and play a first round. Was able to hit almost every club in my bag. Not nearly the most difficult or amazing course I've played but a nice course for great value.

It is a little out of the way for me to get there, but it was well worth it. Great fairways and greens make it fun. Two reachable par 4's make you want to pull out the big boy and go for it!!!
