Formerly known as Palmetto Greens, Colonial Charters Golf Club got a name change when it went under new ownership and management in August 2013. The original Colonial Charters club opened in 1988 and closed in 2005. With the renovation of the golf course and improvement of the conditions, it seemed fitting to restore the name. The layout is routed through forests of mature hardwoods, snaking around numerous water features that come into play throughout. It's a manageable 6,427 yards from the tips. Though it may not require length, this golf course has tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy off the tees. There are numerous bunkers strategically placed along the greensides and water hazards come into play often. Colonial Charters Golf Club is known for its two greenside waterfalls. In addition to the golf course, there is also a practice facility with a driving range and chipping and putting areas for short-game practice.
