The Brigantine/Clipper Golf Course at the Shipyard Golf Club is one of three 18-hole courses at Shipyard Golf Club. Opened in 1970, George Cobb, who created the layout for the first golf course on Hilton Head Island, designed this course. The course is 6,858 yards from its championship tees with a par of 72. The greens and fairways are Bermuda grass. The course features steep doglegs as well as strategically placed bunkers and water hazards to provide a challenging game of golf. Lagoons and blooming magnolias provide lovely touches to the beautiful landscape covered in stately Carolina pines and moss covered oaks.
