The 18-hole, public course is one of three courses at Port Royal Golf Club. The par-72 course stretches over 6,530 yards of scenic terrain. Designed by George Cobb, the back nine holes of the course are especially picturesque. The golf course features greens and wide fairways of Bermuda grass. The greens are protected with bunkers and rough, therefore accuracy plays a much more important role than length. The club has several extra amenities such as a pro shop, restaurant, and clubhouse. Those who want to work on their game can also go to the Hilton Head Island School of Golf that is on the premises.
