Outstanding

Had a chance to play both the North and South courses. They are different courses, but both course layouts are outstanding with beautiful views. The course conditions were outstanding. All courses have “something” to protect the course and these certainly do. Both courses have water, undulations and tough fairway and greens-side bunkers that keep you honest, but at the same time both are courses that accommodate all levels of play. That is hard to find. All of the clubs amenities are 5 Star quality and the staff are extremely friendly. If you have a chance to play, don’t pass it up.

Awesome Place

Berkeley Hall is a great club. The amenities of the club are unparralled in the area. Beautiful majestic clubhouse and you'd have a hard time finding a better practice facility in the world. Played both courses and both are great layouts and very similar. Played in the winter and was expecting a little better conditioned course, but was still great. Not saying it wasn't in great condition, it was, my expectations were extremly high. If you have the chance, it's a top notch club with amazing amenities.

North or South course you decide

No doubt both the north and the south course at Berkley Hall are premium options in Hilton Head. Personally I like the Tom Fazio north course better then the South course that opened in 2002. It seems like every time I here about the course I here them talking about a (multi million dollar renovation). The course though on the other hand is always getting better. The facilities and the course are always top notch and the waste bunkers are tough to get out of. The greens are fast and the staff is nice. Overall a very pleasant course.

Interesting footnote: they play lots of U.S open qualifying and U.S junior open qualifying here at the course.
