The Inn at Pocono Manor sprawls across 3,000 acres, perched on a mountaintop overlooking miles of beautiful countryside. There are two 18-hole championship golf courses at the resort, the East and the West. The 100-year-old East Course has a more traditional layout than the modern West Course. Over the decade it's been open, the golf course has hosted numerous professional tournaments and pro-am events and has seen the likes of many famous players, including Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead. Designed by Donald Ross and William Flynn, the course carefully follows the natural contours of the land. The gently rolling hills provide plenty of interesting elevation changes and they played a major role in determining the placement of the bunkers. The classic layout still offers a challenge even by today's championship standards of lengthy and demanding golf courses.
