Located just outside of Pittsburgh, historic Oakmont Country Club straddles the Allegheny River. Perennially ranked among the best classic courses in America, this 1903 Henry Frownes design got an extensive renovation before the 2007 U.S. Open, in which 4,000 trees were removed, giving it more of its original look. Known for its famous "church pew" bunkers, Oakmont Country Club, which can play well over 7,000 yards, has virtually no water hazards.
