Pretty boring layout, but solid municipal course
I currently live like 3 minutes away, but I don't love this course so I don't get here more than once per month, if even that. Layout is monotonous, lots of up and back, up and back. But it is a decent course, especially for someone that isn't a golf nut that tries to get out all over the place. I would still recommend the course for anyone.
Great Winter Rates and Easy Walking
Went out as a single and they put me with twosome Foursome ahead of played slow. There was at least 2 holes between them and the group in front. The course was busy blowing leaves off the course which was awesome.
Decent shape and fairly priced
Overlook is an older and fun course. The greens are on the smaller side, so your chipping/short game will be tested. Good for golfers of all abilities. This course is priced fair (good value). Weekends are under $50, so don’t expect country club treatment. My group comes here about 5 times a year because they’ve earned and appreciate our business.
Decent Golf For The Money
This is my home course, so I play here 15-20 times per year. The pace of play is normally decent, and the course is kept in reasonably good shape. The layout is rather bland, you kind of feel like you are just going back and forth on the property. That being said, they are very reasonably priced, and close to Lancaster City. Since the best golf in the area belongs to private clubs, this is one of the best options for a quick round near Lancaster.
Excellemt course-a must if you are in the area!
My wife and I played 18 holes on what turned out to be a cold morning. The staff couldn't have been nicer...most friendly and accommodating. The course was in excellent condition and we would play it again if we are ever in the area. From the driving range to the pace of play, the excellent conditions and the food...all great!
Nice little course, decent value for the money
I have played Overlook several times throughout the years. It has a somewhat bland layout (most holes run parallel to each other), but it's not terribly priced, is very walkable, and it always in very nice shape. Based on the course conditions, it's a nice enough value and definitely one to add to your rotation if you live in the Lancaster area. They also have some very good late-day, after-work prices as well as the real-grass driving range around.
