Play soon for this course is being closed

This is an excellent course with a unique layout. It is a joy to play. Sadly the course is being closed in November for residential development. That is the 2nd tragic loss of a nationally acclaimed golf course in Hershey.. Play it soon so you can have the momories.

Play here while you still CAN

Still can't believe that this course is going to turn into dorms after this season.

The course layout and design is world-class, the conditions perfect, and any round you play here is "memorable" to say the least.

Be careful to mind the wind on this 'links' course. And bring extra balls. Like many links courses, if you are a foot off the fairway, you might not find your ball at all. Driving accuracy is a premium here, but many holes only require a precise 3 wood or hybrid off the tee. Several forced carries, but most holes you can still 'run it up' to the green.

Definitely worth every penny. Play Hershey Links ASAP. You won't regret it.

Amazing golf course!

This course is definitely one of the best I have ever played, Central Pennsylvania or otherwise. Very well maintained greens, fairways, etc. Staff is super friendly and always looking to help where they can. Get to this course while you can!

Fantastic Experience

Despite excessive rain in July, this course was in excellent condition with lush fairways and smooth, fast greens. The layout is very modern with very wide fairways and interesting elevation changes. Be prepared to carry many long shots especially if you are playing from the blue tees - a good test for the mid to low handicappers. Really nice views all around and a great variety of holes.

The staff here is super friendly. The bag boy promptly arrived with a cart to load my bag and gave me clear instructions on where everything was located. The guys at the pro shop were very courteous and allowed me to tee off early since it wasn't crowded. The starter gave me a detailed description of the ravines that came into play on numerous holes, and caught up with me on the 7th tee to see if I was enjoying the course. The cart girl made a few rounds to check if I needed anything, always with a smile. Overall a fantastic experience and totally worth driving two hours to play here.

Great course

I can't believe they are going to tear down this course. Other than some ball marks that needed to be repaired the course was in great shape. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed the round. Very challenging and very beautiful course.

Excellent golf course with significant challenges.

Can't believe the course will be permanently closing in early November 2013. This course is probably the best of the courses owned by the Hershey Trust. Would close the East Course for the Milton Hershey School housing way before considering closing this course. The area is losing a real gem of a course.

Enjoy it while it lasts

This Moderate difficult golf course has a true Golf Club feel and is well maintained. Unfortunatly, this spot is set to close November 2013 so that the Milton Hershey school can expand.......

Course is still well maintained, and plays longer than the yardage book, especially when wet. Lots of forced caries makes the par 4's more challenging. Wide open off the tee's, this is a bomber's paradise (if you are long and straight). The rough is short but thick, keep it on the short stuff.

Play it while you still can

This is one of the nicest public courses in the Hershey/Harrisburg area. It's a shame that this summer (2013) will be its last.

The course is very links-y on the front 9, but the back isn't nearly as open. There are very scenic holes throughout the course. Be ready for A LOT of ravines to carry. Holes 15 and 16 have proven to be my downfall every time I have played here.

Get onto this course before it closes for good in the fall of 2013.

Great course for the money. Beautiful farm country, course in great condition!

The cost was inexpensive. On golf for now price was 70$. Beautiful course in great condition. Very little wait. Staff were nice. The beer girl is bad luck. Every time she stopped by my string of pars would end.

you will love this course!

what a great place to play a round of golf..the staff is great and friendly, the practice facility is nice and the course is in great shape. the tall fescue grass is a nice eyecatching feature on the course, but not fun to play out of..keep it in the fairways, they are generous and plush..the whole experience is wonderful and it is a shame that Hershey is going to get rid of it and replace it with a school.. with all the money they have, couldnt they find other land to put their school on? its a beautiful place that is pleasing to the eye and very well maintained for the enviroment..why destroy it?

Great time of the year to play

Fast greens and thick rough, long holes into the wind and challenging short holes, just how I like it. I wish I could play better on all 18 of the holes, a few get me every time. Oh by the way, stay out of the tall fescue, and if you don't good luck. The course is in the best conditions so far this year and I would recommend it to anyone that does not mind losing a ball or two.

The course is very well maintained but the lay out is alittle confusing, should put marker on the cart path

The layout is confusing, but the course is very well maintain, just to keep in mind that it is the true meaning of links course..

Pricey for the area, fine golf course

Hershey links has it all - challenging layout, outstanding conditions and a top-tier green fee to go with it. From the practice tee all the way through the course and clubhouse - everything is top-shelf. By-the-way, the clubhouse grill is visually striking, well-appointed with an inventive meu - duck confit nachos with guyere cheese are the best!

Links at its finest in Hershey.

A wonderful course to play. Greens are fast, rough is thick and will cost a shot. It's sad that it will be closing for good the end of the year.

Links is what you get

I found the staff just wonderful. Greens had been aerated only two weeks prior but they looked and rolled great. Don't let the links name fool you in thinking you can spray your ball all over the course and find it, you need to play a straight ball because the rough is ridiculous so if you go left or right on most holes, expect to be looking for your ball for the allowed time. There are some LONG par 4's on this course. If you can't make it in two play it as a par 5 and try to get lucky. If the shot isn't in your wheelhouse, play the one that is and you will be lucky to walk away with a bogey. The views on the course are really nice compared to where I play (long island). Perfect place for you IBS sufferers as there are ample abode's scattered about the course :) So you can feel safe in having that pre round of Starbucks coffee without having that gripping fear consume your being whilst trying to enjoy a nice round of golf.:)

Super experience.

This is the second time I had played here. This time from the tips; I knew it was a bit long for me back there but wanted the challenge anyway. It was a really windy day and several of the holes were unreachable for me in regulation. Still had a grerat time.

The course was in excellent condition. Plays very tough

This is in my opinion the hardest playing course in Central Pa. If you want a real challenge play this course from the black tees. I am about a 7-8 handy cap and I shot a 91 from the blacks. I was actually happy with that score.
