Transformed in 1958 from a farm into a public golf course, Rolling Green is the oldest public golf course in Washington County, Pennsylvania. It originated as a 9 hole public golf course, with meager green fees ranging from$1 for 9 holes on weekdays, to $2 for 18 holes on the weekends. The debut was a success and in the early 1960's a second nine was added. Although many of the holes were rearranged to accommodate this second nine, holes #1 and 9, although updated, are to this day still part of the original 9 hole layout.
