One of the home courses for the Oregon Ducks

It had been a couple of years since I played Emerald Valley and I had forgotten how much I enjoy this course. Best most interesting fun greens in the Willamette Valley and that includes the Private courses. They are in excellent shape, they have interesting contours and are surrounded by deep bunkers reminiscent of East Coast classic courses. The fairways were firm and in good shape the supt isn't afraid of a little brown in the summer in contrast to some of the overwatered, green at any cost fairways found locally and the course plays better and is more fun as a result. Nice public practice putting green with contour as well as full length driving range with chipping green with practice bunker. Members have access to the new practice area in back being built for the University of Oregon Golf teams which true to form is top notch. cool bar and food area not huge but nice patio to hang and have a drink afterwards I give this course 4 stars which is about as good as you can get for a public access facility. Call in advance because it is a busy course but if you passing through Eugene and looking to play this should be your first choice

Perfect greens

This course is all about the greens. They are in fantastic shape, and roll fast and so true. Can't think of another public course that has better greens in OR, besides Bandon. Very demanding greens to get up and down.

Easily walkable, holes very close to each other. Unfortunately, guy in pro was not exactly friendy.

First timer

The course was tough for are two some. We were able to get around and have a great time. Staff was very nice and those playing a round of golf that day were very nice as well. Made for a good day of golf at a new course.

We should be more grateful

I just returned from a trip to Southern California. I had a chance to play some very fine golf courses and had a lot of fun. Pelican Hill is rated in the top 100 and was A delight to play. The ocean Views were very nice. The greens however and movement on the greens were about half as good as Emerald Valley. The fairways at Emerald Valley were well conditioned and we’re not overwatered like many are in the summertime. I do not begrudge the $300 I had to pay in Southern California as I know their expenses are high. But we should remember what a great deal golf is in the Willamette Valley.

Great course

This is an awesome golf course. In great condition and very challenging. I actually stopped playing this course several years ago due to awful management. I played it again this summer as a substitute for men's league. What a pleasant surprise. The new management has turned things around 100%. I can't say enough good things about them!

raised greens

Straight forward course with bunkers as only challenge. Just coming off airating, but course in good shape. Worth giving a try.

Fun course with some challenging shots along the way!

The course has a great lay out with a lot of dog legs. The weather was great and the price was affordable since I did a prepay online. Definitely will be coming back again, especially if I can snag a deal!
