Tourist Trap!
18 out of 27 holes were closed so we had to play the “new” 9 twice. These 9 holes were the worst layout I’ve ever played. Every hole had either a house or backyard jutting out or a hazard in the worst possible location. Joke of a course
Review
Can’t beat 60 bucks for two 18hole tee times! They have recently opened the south course which is more challenging but more fun in my opinion. Staff is always great! Course could use some work but people probably feel that way about any course. For me and my needs, it’s great.
Good Food
Love this place it's like family.
Come on in to the bar and grill where things are changing.
Open for Breakfast
Great course
Great course. Plenty of variables while playing.
Plenty of windows to crash, if you are into that kind of thing. Awesome staff!!
A work in prigress
If you just want to go bang some balls this course will do for the money. Unfortunately it is not well groomed. Fairway were not to bad, but the greens….. let’s just say you’re better off chipping. The ad says they have all new greens and after visiting with some locals. It will be a couple yrs before they come in. They were green but very bumpy and hard. No holding the green. Not much luck rolling a putt to anything but a guess and a wish. Pins hadn’t been changed in a couple days I would say. Nice clubhouse. I would say they are trying but still has a long way to go.
Poor poor Surrey
Fairways were Okay. About what is to be expected in this part of the state at this time of year. Alot of weeds and dry spots. Greens were the worst I've ever seen. Front 9 greens were bald and covered in sand and hard as a rock. Back 9 were not covered in sand but still hard as a rock and in very poor condition. There were spots throughout that were torn up, no cart path to speak of and just really shotty. I will not waste my time here again.
Greens Fee should be reduced if you can’t play the full course
They were working on the front nine, so we had to play the back nine and then play their nine hole course that is in really poor shape. If you go expecting to play a certain 18 hole course and you aren’t able to play that, and instead have to play a course that is in poor condition, they should charge reduced greens fees.
Great Course
Don’t let the reviews push you away from the course. It’s not the best course but if you want a cheap place to play with your friends then this is the place to play. It honestly wasn’t a bad course. I had low expectations and after playing it my friends and I agreed it wasn’t bad at all.
Very poorly maintained
The good things stop at the club house. Everything was overgrown. The fairways were like playing in the rough, the sand traps were hard as a rock, the greens were patchy. The cart paths are broken and in some spots i believe hole 4 and on the way to 5 its non existent. Lost more balls on the fairways just due to them being over grown. On hole 10 i recommend using a colored ball and not a callaway white ball as its in line with the driving range and they use white callaway range balls. This can male it difficult to pick your ball out from all the practice balls that end up on the 10th fairway. I wouldn't recommend this course to a friend and honestly wouldn't recommend anyone waste their money to play here. Also the hole 5 marker is numbered 18 which i found very confusing.
Needs mowed
The greens were nice, but the tee-boxes, fairways, and rough, all needed mowed. Some tee-boxes were indistinguishable from the rough, and we lost quite a few balls in the fairway, due to tall grass. Overall the layout was very nice, but had the course been mowed it would have been much more enjoyable.
No irrigation on course leads to bad conditions
Very few spots on this course are irrigated. Even after the immense amount of rain we’ve had this past month, the ground is still bone dry. Wouldn’t recommend playing until it’s under new management and it undergoes a renovation that includes adding adequate irrigation to the entire course. Definitely not worth the price! Unlikely I would even play here for free
In poor condition
Having played the course before but not in a couple of years I was disappointed at how bad thr course condition was. The pace was also brutally slow with groups stacked up in front of us.
Below Par
The course was in brutal condition. The fairways were worse than our pasture. Greens were ok but just that ok. The pace of play was atrocious. We sat and waited as the groups in front of us were stacked up behind someone. We've played there before a couple of years ago and it was in much better shape.
Haha
