This golf course has been closed for almost 2 years.
The owners should take this golf course off this site. Do not waste your trip if you want to golf!
Still needs lots of work
Played this course on a nice but windy afternoon in January. Upon arrival I learned the back 9 is closed so was told to play the front twice. The layout is decent and the fairways okay but the greens are ridiculous. Not sure what type of grass it is but there were bare spots as well as occasional sprigs of something still green sticking up and inevitably was always in my path. I believe the course has potential but the owners may need to hire an expert on grass and how to manage greens. For locals not wanting to drive 50 plus miles to play golf this course fills their needs. And for the deal I received on Golfnow it was a good value for working on shot placement.
Dont Waste Your Money!
The back nine was closed because it was in horrible shape and the front nine wasn't much better. The greens were dead in a lot of spots, the fairways were almost undefined for lack of mowing and the tee boxes weren't any better. If I owned this course I'd be ashamed to call it a golf course. I saw nicer lawns coming in then this golf course will never waste my time or money on this course again!
Course needs much work
Staff was great, but the course was in very bad condition. We drove 1 1/2 to play 18 holes and the greens were in such bad shape and fairways were not well taken care of. The holes were challenging and this will be a great course when it is gotten back into shape.
Lots of potential!!!
We paid for 18 holes, only played 9 due to the coarse closing the back 9 for repair!!!!!!!
It took us 4 hours to play 9 (4 People )
Very difficult to find your balls ....even when you landed in the fairway and outside the fairways was the same. Needs a lot of grooming.
The putting greens throw your ball around like a pinball machine due to the sand and hills on the putting surface
The golf carts were brand new Yamaha gas powered!
If you like riding around in a golf cart and drinking beer and not keeping your score .,,,,,,,this is the place to be.
Off the beaten path
Had a wonderful time at this course. Will be a better course in a couple of months when the growing season is in full swing. Bermuda had not greened up. Of course Bermuda in Oklahoma at this time is not growing much. Greens were very fast and undulating.
New Owners invested $$$ in renovations to this fun course
This is a fun little 18 hole course. It is located in a remote, yet beautiful setting. The owners have made significant improvements to the course with new greens and tee boxes. The clubhouse features a fully stock pro shop, full time PGA pro, full service restaurant and bar, and a Duck Bowling Alley! The entire fleet of golf carts are brand new. Plans are in place to upgrade bunkers/fairways as well as accommodate veterans and golfers with disabilities. If you are in the Tenkiller Lake area, it is worth the visit.
