A Great Course

White Barn Par Three is one of the best bangs for your buck you can get. The 9 hole course features water hazards that come into play on 4 holes and bunkers on 5 holes. Hole 4 is even a tricky 145 yard island green. I am a college student at OSU and I purchased the 12 month membership. I have played the course over 30 times in the last two months. Truly this course is a hidden gem, I hardly ever see a soul out here playing. The staff are friendly as are the grounds keepers. The greens need a little work, and don't roll quite true, but the course is mowed often and the grass is acceptable. There is a driving range and a practice green that are available for members. This is a fun little track that will test your short game, and provide a great time. Don' come all at once though, I enjoy my empty golf course.

Great Practice not very crowded

This was an awesome par 3, 9 hole golf course. First time playing it. It was challenging with both water hazards and sand traps. I had so much fun! Don't let the par 3 term turn you off of this course. We all need practice on our short game, and between the cost and quality of this course, I highly recommend playing here for a fun round. I will definitely be back soon!

Worst Golf Course of All-Time

I have been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amuck, and flat out deceived by this Golf Course. I get here, I’m told there’s no carts, (was charged a cart fee) no scorecard and no map to know where I even start playing. The greens are absolutely horrible sad there is holes all over. I genuinely think there is no greens staff to make the course look nice as there is trash all over the place. I believe the architect who designed this course might be Stevie Wonder. One hole and tee box are out in the middle of a pond with the bridge connecting It being half underwater. I love golf so luckily I will play again (at another course) but if this was the first course I had ever played at, I would throw all of my clubs away along with myself.

Short 9 hole course

Course was not mowed around greens. Its 9 holes for youth that are golfing. If you want to pacrice your short game, it would be good for that. The staff, there was one person working and she was more interested in her phone than helping me, if you are going to play here with your kid(s), make sure you bring everything you need from tees to drinks and snacks.

Good, Quick Practice Rouind

First, ignore what the course says about itself. Second, see caveats below. Now, the good part. The course is nearly dead flat, so elevation is no factor. Five of the 9 holes play over water, with 3 of those being a complete carry to near the green.

The course was apparently never graced by an architect, so there are some odd touches. But, whoever laid it out understood what makes a Par 3 look cute. This one is really neat visually, with only one hole out of the bunch that is just a pud.

Pace of play is unbelievable, because few people play it. If you take more than 2 hours to get around twice you have to be dawdling, or an extremely slow walker. There is one hole for which a short-knocker would use a driver. From the back tees a couple take a wood. But mostly you are here to work on your iron game. Hitting the greens is the whole exercise, as is true with most any Par 3.

Now, those caveats. Over time management has changed basically everything multiple times. You can't be sure where the pro shop will be. You may not recognize the person in the pro shop from last time. The cart and green fees change with the weather. Course maintenance tends to be whimsical, but on average the greens are kept cut close and most or all the fairways are cut short. Fringe grass can be moderate to quite deep. The carts work, but are in awful shape.

Worst golf course ever!

The green on number one was 3/4 dirt and the rest of the greens were spotty and like putting on a washboard! No intermediate grass between green and course (went from rough to green). One distance on score card and only white and blue tees seen (no women's or seniors). Course is not on satellite. Tee boxes were not mowed short. No ball washers had water or were broken. Course has potential but needs lots of work!!
