Fairway rough makes it tough
After hitting a good drive down the first hole we found that the grass was about 3 inches high if not more. The course could have a links feel however when you are unable to use the ground due to the grass being so high its not possible. We also discovered the course recently moved around some tees, while some changes are fine others are a little awkward. Especially the 9th which has a tall tree about 75 yards off the tee in the middle of the fairway line.
The pro shop attendant wasn't very friendly, we seemed to be a nuisance.
Great course as always!!
This course has been great every time. Will be going back again soon!!!
Enjoyed the course
Had a great round of golf , course layout is a little confusing but I am a blonde !! Carts aren't as fast due to rough cart paths ( some places there isn't one . Very friendly staff . They are constantly improving the course conditions . Green are a little sandy but slow , also the tee boxed aren't really flat . I am definately coming back . Worth the drive from Tulsa .
Greens are terrible
The greens were the worst I have ever seen since I began playing golf. Leaves and divots all over the place. Fairways were garbage. You hit a good drive and you might be hitting off of dirt. Terrible course.
Great country couse. Substantial "Bang-for-the-Buck"
I enjoyed the layout and design of this course. Alot of fun with just enough challenge for a weekend golfer. I look forward to playing again soon.
This course reminds me of a linx course in Scottland.
Cotton Creek is a hidden gem for me. Whenever all the other courses are crawling with slow play, I can always walk on and not have to worry about pace of play. The greens are always in great condition and roll true. The course is owned and operated by the Lamoreaux brothers Steve and Jeff ( very nice people). For the money, it's hard to beat Cotton Creek.
HIDDEN GEM
Finally, a golf course that regular golfers can enjoy playing. I cannot recall having a better time on a golf course. It is great for all levels. If you like links golf, you will love this course. It is refreshing to find a golf course where the owners actually run the place. Clay, Steve, and Jeff do more with less than anyone I have ever seen in the golf business. I am proud to support this course. Give them a try, you will be glad you did.
Not impressed
The tee boxes are not even close to level. The greens were not kept well. The fairways were ok. The carts are terrible. They have them all geared down to go a a "slow jog" pace I was told because some people like to drink beer when they play. My suggestion - play another course
This course has great features
for not much money you get one heck of a great place to play golf. family centered, staff was kind and articulate, awesome fishing ponds. #18 is as good as you will find in oklahoma, only indian springs can be compared. drive to glenpool!!!! play the course!!!! meet the staff!!!!!! love your neighbor as yourself
Really fun to play
The fairways have some bare spots, but what do expect in the winter
Weather has taken its toll on this course
Prairie extends into the fairways as well. The owners appear to be just trying to keep it open as not much money has been put into the course to overcome the weather.
This course is good to play on
Love the golf course has a disco holes for 12 18 love playing the course recommend a all my friends and continue to play there
Good Course at a Great Value!
I have played this course several times over the past two years and it has continued to be a great value with very playable conditions, even throughout this past summer's dry spell. Both the front and back offer their own challenges with trees lining the majority of the fairways and water strategically placed on several holes around the course. This is one of my favorite courses to play, especially since I'm on a pretty tight budget.
Greens in great shape.
Good course for the money. Average dificulity. Not too busy to get on anytime.
Not a Difficult Course, But Customer Service is First Rate
Although this course is not difficult it's a great place to just go out and play 18. The staff is the gem of this course. They will treat you well and you don't come away thinking you were ripped off in customer service.
Cheap, butttttt.......
I golf there because it is cheap. Cart paths turn into gravel and traveling is usually insanely bumpy. Maybe 2 or 3 water jugs throughout the entire course. Some of the greens are in very poor condition almost showing just dirt in some spots. A number of times I have been treated poorly by the staff and have seen them talk to their employees in a very nasty disciplinary feedbackish way. I would recommend this course to starting-out players or for people who don't want to spend the money golfing on a much better golf course.
This course is good for the novice
This course is just right for the beginning golfer, fairways are open, yardage is not difficult, and this course lets you work on your game.
Bad course
This course needed a lot of water. The fairways were like hitting off of concrete. The course was not marked or maintained very well. The staff dismissed us as if we were not welcome.
Great place for golf hacks!!!
Greens were well kept. The rest of the course was perfect for a group of golf hacks. Will definitely go back.
