Solid muni - good people
This is a muni course so it's being reviewed as such. Anyone who expects to get excellent greens and perfect fairways needs to spend the money and play at a country club.
Can get a little tight on the back 9 but overall the course plays nicely. Some tough approach shots if playing from the blues but overall a driver to pitching wedge course.
Typically pretty light crowd in the afternoons, have finished 9 in a little over an hour with a cart before.
Very wide open and great for beginners but enough trouble to be fun for a novice.
No sand traps but enough water features to lose a ball or two.
Grip it and rip it and you may find yourself putting for eagle a few times. Enjoy!
Course needs major work
Greens are in decent condition but hard. Almost impossible to keep shots on green. Several fairways have large areas where the grass isn't growing. I've seen back yards with nicer grass.
Duck Creek surprise
First time playing this course. Initially we were not impressed. Reason being the front nine seemed wide open as a corn field. However.....The back nine was a whole different story. Back nine is a great layout. The greens on front are pure country if you want to call then that .Back nine what a difference. We both shot 82. Back side five times better than front. Overall a great deal for the money and enjoyed the day. Note: GPS does not get you here. Thank you for the signs on the roads to the course.
Can't go wrong 18 and a cart for $12
I'm a fan of this course. Love the fact it's par 70. Being that it's early in the year it was a little wet in the corner other than that greens were in pretty decent shape. Not a 5 star course but the staff is awesome. We will be back for sure.
not a cow pasture like a reviewer said
the owner extremely friendly.Greens in very good shape.ive paid a lot more for a lot less many times.Theres a lot of courses out there that you can pay 80 to 100 bucks if you want perfect. It aggravates me when people pay next to nothing and then complain.extreamly nice course for the price
More than meets the eye.
The staff of the course and the regulars make this course, Mickey is a great guy and is the type of person that will do anything for you. You will probably have to fluff your ball at times on the course. However no two holes are alike on this course. You can pretty much get out anytime, but I would try not to tee off from like 9-10 because that is when the daily skins game starts. I play this course when I want to just kick back and relax or in the winter. There are some really fun holes and ones that if you misplace your tee shot you are going to be looking at some big numbers, however this course will reward well struck shots. The greens generally will not hold too well and just shy of the greens it will be firm (just so you know)
So-So
The course was just not worth it. Some holes were like golfing in a cow pasture, some were very interesting. The fairway grass - all of it - was terrible. Most times I couldn’t tell where the fairway ended and the ‘rough” began. The greens were in very good condition however. The staff was very friendly. Would I play there again? If I lived next door - and it was free.
Cow pasture
Played here once with my girlfriends father. The staff was nice but the course needs major help. I couldn't tell the fairway from the rough as there are weeds growing every where on every hole wouldn't play this course again if it was free
