Always a great course
Ottawa Park is one of my favorite courses in the Toledo area. It is a fun course with elevated tees and greens, some challenging holes with hills, but also some wide open holes where you can grip it and rip it!
Great course, especially for young players
Ottawa Park is one of my favorites, and it rarely disappoints. The course is exciting, the greens are nice, and the par 3's make you wish for a hole-in-one every time. I used to play here all the time in high school and it really helped me develop a strong game. Since then, I have played it numerous times every season and it is just downright fun. Highly recommended to players of all skill levels.
Nice Muni course.
Nice Municipal course. Nothing more or less. Had not played here in a while. For time of year it was in decent shape. Very short course. Only slightly longer than 5000 yards. Play early to avoid longer rounds.
Course of play too slow.
Course of play too slow. Need rangers out there to move players along. Inexperienced golfers think they can hit a ball 300 yards and only hit it 100.
Short tricky
The course is very nice and tight. If you miss a fairway, it will hurt you. It would have been nice if they blew the leaves away from green and tee box consistently during the heavy portion of the late fall.
Good course but short
I played this course on a Sunday morning. Very few other golfers on the course. Course was in good condition. I played from the back tees and it was still a pretty short course. Fairways were fairly narrow, but in good shape. Yardage markers were scarce. The front nine and back nine are intertwined and directions on the course could be improved. Overall, this would be a good course for a short hitter.
Played the course yesterday. Horribly overbooked. Took my wife and I 5+ hours to play. What a joke. Poor management and conditions. I use to play it as a kid and like to play it once a year for nostalgia even though I now live an hour away. And to top if off some old guy playing in the foursome ahead of us left with is group to go to the clubhouse after nine. So my wife and I move up to prepare to tee off on #10. But a few minutes later the old guy comes blasting up, says "sorry" and tees up to hit. I kept my cool but obviously this jerk doesn't have any golf or social etiquette. Not sure I will be back to play what could be a quality course.
