Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club has a challenging layout designed by Arthur Hills. The course has a versatile design that balances more difficult elements with player-friendly features. Bunkers and lush rough heavily guard the greens but the ample fairways offer some welcome respite. The golf course boasts immaculately manicured tees and fairways. At just over 7,200 yards from the back tees, the course is lengthy with a fair amount of challenges but it is still gentle enough for beginners to still feel comfortable. There are homes surrounding the front nine, but they do not intrude into the game. The course finishes with a memorable par 4. This lengthy hole doglegs to the right through trees and plays to a green guarded by a bunker to the front right.

Rude people lying

Very rude stuck up people. Front desk lady with short blonde hair likes to lie on people. Sorry I didn’t want your handbook. All I said was no. I have already read it I didn’t need another one. My Dad works there …. And I was just there 2 days ago. The women there just seem really stuck up and nasty. Not cool…

This review has nothing to do with the golf course itself. You're handling this like a child right now. Go cry elsewhere than on this website.

Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club - Fun Art Hills Design in Central Ohio in GREAT Shape!

The Good: Very nice, upscale private experience at Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club, an Arthur Hills design in the northern suburbs of Columbus, OH. Primarily a residential, prairieland track, it can be bear when the wind blows! Nice quintet of Par-3’s, a couple strong risk/reward Par-5’s, and good variety in Par-4’s. Very playable off the tee but the greens are very undulating and crowned on many occasions. The course was in excellent shape for mid-October and the greens were extremely slick & demanding. Nice clubhouse, robust practice area and several on-course restroom stations is a good touch. Pace of play, albeit it on a misty rainy day was excellent at around 3 hours and 45 minutes.

The Bad: I’m not a big fan of residential courses with back yards that are very close to tee boxes and the rough. Still felt a little claustrophobic despite the course being pretty wide open. The greens didn’t hold very well, which is exacerbated by their undulation. The 18th hole, while I liked it, presents an awkward tee shot that requires a sharp fade around a cluster of trees that have no business being there. I liked the challenge, but I didn’t like the lack of options. No on-course service was a bummer.

The Verdict: Kinsale is another strong Arthur Hills central Ohio golf course that was one of the best conditioned courses I played in 2020. A fun, playable course that puts pressure on your putter!

Best Hole: I really enjoyed the short Par-4 5th hole that is one of the few that is engulfed by woodlands. The tee-shot can either be a driver that pushes up against the right sand traps but a conservative iron shot may have some tree trouble if back too far.

Great review! I'm a member here and feel like everything you mentioned is fair and accurate. 18 is a good discussion hole. I think visually it is a great way to finish, and I like that on the back 9, you're asked to hit a fade for the first time after a lot of right-to-left holes. But it's long and if you can't work the ball left to right, can make for a big number to end the round. Thanks for the review and hope you enjoyed the experience at Kinsale!

Excellent Central Ohio Course

The difficulty of this course lies in its length- there are some really long holes, but the fairways are wide and generous, which makes it challenging but enjoyable. I was surprised at how well maintained the bunkers were, given the fact that it rained pretty good earlier that morning. The staff and crew at this course keep it in really good shape, and should be commended.
The Grille serves up some of the best post-round food I've ever had, so make sure you stop by after your round is complete.

Elevated greens

Bring a lunch there’s a lot of work to do to score on this course. Remember there are multiple tee boxes so play forward if it’s your first time around to get to know the layout.

Beautiful course with fast and well protected greens that challenge your ability to throw em up and stick em. Think dropping little marshmallows in hot cocoa without splashing about as you eye up your next shot into the flag.

great greens

We have come here for the past 5yrs. and this time was probably the best. Finally able to go off cart paths. We have 40 golfers and they take very good care of us. The course was in beautiful shape and the greens ran fast and smooth. Hope to continue coming here in the years to come
