Cumberland Trail Golf Course prides itself on good service and quality conditioning, but fast greens are its best claim to fame. The slick surfaces are cut once a year to play as fast as the famed Muirfield Village, home of The Memorial on the PGA Tour. Architects Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry didn't have to travel far from their Columbus office to craft this well conceived layout. The motto of Hurdzan-Fry Designs is to "stir the spirit." Cumberland Trail, along with its sister Hurdzan-Fry golf courses, Little Mountain Country Club in Painesville and StoneWater Golf Club in Highland Heights, all owned by Jimmy Hanlin, deliver on that promise.
