Nice Course
11:10 Tee time, went off at 10:40. For a Sunday it was not overly booked. Greens rolled true. The ball bite when you hit the green. Holes spread out nicely. Would play again.
Red Hawk Returns
Played this course about 4 years ago and it wasn't in real good shape due to daught like conditions. Ponds were almost dried up. Seen good reviews as of late and decided to give it another try. Night and day difference. Course was awesome! I will be back.
Good track
I was pleasantly surprised by this course. It was fairly challenging for a bogey golfer. In good shape other than a few burned out spots from the extreme heat a few weeks earlier. Some course knowledge would save a few strokes as there are a number of creeks dissecting the course that cause trouble. Yardage was not well marked on a lot of holes, which was frustrating. Overall, it was a good value and a nice course.
Very nice course
First time playing this course. The course was in great shape outside of a couple of par 3 tees where the people playing didn't fill in their divots. This was no fault of the course itself though. I played the Tournament tees at 6724 and found the layout to be challenging but fair. Greens were in excellent shape and had some nice contours to them. I definitely will play this course again.
Course condition
Course was in decent condition considering there has been no rain for weeks and would play again
Midsummer
We've had a dry summer but did not affect course condition fairways and greens in great shape
When the wind blows!
The course conditions have improved over the last 5 years. Other than slower than normal greens, it is at the best I have seen it in 10 years. I play here about 15 times a year and enjoy every round. Multiple tee boxes to allow anyone to find the right yardage off the tee. I never play the tips for the only reason that number 3 is a par 3 all carry from about 210 yards over water. Great mix of short and long par 4's. This links style course is extremely challenging when the wind blows. The par 5's can be reached in two from the proper tee. Overall great course layout with good conditions will make you want to play here again.
Pure Golf
Red Hawk Run is a gem in Findlay. What a great course, It has certainly had it's up and downs since its conception just over 16 years ago. The greens are in great condition, they roll true and they are just the right speed. The bunkers, mainly the larger ones, are a work in progress and could use some more attention but the majority of them are in good shape. The fairways are in the best condition I have seen them and they have some roll. It is a beautiful place to play golf, I recommend it to anyone. The course also offers a driving range, chipping area and a putting green. Best in the area for sure!
Best public course around!
Great experience all around . The staff went above and beyond. The manager who as also from Toledo even took the time to share some helpful tips with me. The course is just awesome. Very fun track to play that will keep you guessing all day . Course was very fair and is a beautiful layout. I will be back every time I pass through.
Great course
First time I have visited the course and I loved it. Front nine played pretty tough because of the wind, but when the wind died down you could score pretty well. Thought it was a good mix of risk vs reward holes using the water and bunkers to make you think twice. Staff was friendly and course was well kept and in great shape for early spring.
Great Value
The course is very fun to play. It will keep you guessing and creating shots. It was in very good shape and the price was great.
I will be back several times.
Awesome Course
Please Golfer you have to play this course. Awesome Layout ,greens are great and you will enjoy this course, makes you think on how to play next shot. Thanks to Mr. Jim and son John Cook taking over this course. This course will help all jr.golfers with her and his game. I will play more on this course in 2016. Sorry for being so late with this Review my life been up side down with the lost of my job of 21 years. Thanks to EATON Corp. PS This course is like playing down south courses. thank Golf Now for having this website
Great design- good challenge
I liked my experience at red hawk run. Greens were a good speed and rolled true. They putted smooth also. Lots of fairway bunkers and plenty of water hazards. Nice clubhouse. I was however very disappointed at the condition of the fairways. I like bent grass fairways but these were thin with grass with only about 60% grass coverage in a lot of the fairways-
Unique Course
Any course that has the designer Arthur Hills is going to be a good one. This was my first time playing it and I loved the course. Challenging with some holes having bunkers lining the fairways.
Suggest to play from the whites if its your first time because it is a LONG one.
Change of Pace. 1st course in Ohio for me! WET!
I would say Red Hawk run is an open course. I played it from the tips and at 7,400 yards and would say bravo to the course management from this distance. It plays long. My most memorable hole would of been Hole 3 par 3, 203 yards from the tips or black tees and I hit a 3 wood 6 inches from a hole in one. Tap in birdie. So close yet so far away. But the kicker is you have to fly the pond hole way 190 in the air across the water. Pin was up to. But the course was soaked, and like playing a swamp. Due to heavy rains over night to playing here. And the course had puddles every where. But I do not blame the course or management for the conditions, I was surprised they were even open after playing 3 holes. So wet conditions. I came all the way from Wisconsin to play here 6 1/2 hours and was glad I chose this as one of the 2 courses to play this day. The back 9 first par 3 again 200 plus yards I hit another 3 wood to within 10 feet of the flag. Again over water. I thrive on long pond shot par 3's. I thought the greens were rather small here, but in great shape. No ball divots here on the greens, again Bravo. I enjoyed my morning round here and fired a 41-42=83 from the back set of black tees here. Shot my HDC. I would recommend this course to others. And the course was in plush colors for this time of year. And good placement of the bunkers, I would like to have seen more sand on this course, make it harder. I left very Happy!!! Very nice people here. and helpful.

The heather is high so keep it in the fairway
This is a great links course designed by Arthur Hills and is a great challenge. The fairways and greens are in great shape and are rolling very true. They have spent money on the sand traps which are strategically placed but fair. Sand is fluffy around the greens. Overall the course is really playing nice.
