Was One of My Favorites in Ohio
Course closed and turned into tree farm and event center.
Had one of the best and most unique layouts in Ohio over very hilly land. It seemed like more than half the holes were signature holes.
Very sad that this one is NLE.
Spectacular views.
This course is one of my favorites. The new owner is already making improvements..there are now plans for a new clubhouse and practice facilities.
The rugged beauty of the course is unsurpassed.
AWESOME COURSE - but needs some help around the edges...
The course has many unique challenges - very scenic and serene. You forget you are in Ohio... plan to go back again and again! Worth the extra drive.
Wonderful, people focused course!
This course extended us such courtesy and friendliness when we needed to add a fourth player at the last moment. I appreciate the course staff and the hospitality and value provided to us! We had a fantastic time and your staff made it possible.....THANK YOU!!!
Excellent corse to improve short game
The course has a beautiful layout. The fairways are in very good condition. I really enjoy the challenge these greens pose for amateur folders like me. The staff is very friendly and club house is also great. The views, location and price makes me keep going back.
This course has lots of hills and has its challenges
This course is not for the novice. You have to stay in the fairway or you will be in trouble. Could not imagine walking this course, due to all the inclines. Even with a cart, it is a bit of a workout. Full of challenges. If you are looking for flat straightaways, this isn't your course. Course is well maintained and the staff was friendly. They didn't overbook, so you didn't have to wait on others. Overall, great course, full of challenges.
Challenging course for the money....
Key placement of tee shots and a good second shot are key to shooting respectable scores at this challenge of a golf course.
course was a good challenge
during our play, we experience no traffic. we could play with no body pushing or making us wait. the course is opening up nicely.
Don't think I'll play there again
Was told the course was hard but very nice. Some of the greens had bare spots and were bumpy. I hit a beautiful drive down the middle on 18 and when I got down there it was in a foot wide and foot deep crevice that ran about 50 feet down the fairway. Lots of hills and blind tee shots. Seemed I was always hitting off the side of a hill and couldn't see where most of the tee shots were supposed to go. Also hard to navigate. We got lost twice trying to find our next tee box. I play golf for fun and this was more like work.
Unique Course
If you have never played Tree Links, it is an experience. Unlike a lot of courses, this is a placement course. You have to hit the ball to a specific spot for success. Fairways slope, greens are very grainy. Putting into the grain their slow. Putting down hill, down grain will give you a feel what the pros putt on. Very challenging and in good shape. Bring extra balls....
Improvements from new owner exceptional
The course setting is terrific. The greens and fairways are signifcantly improved over last year. Worth every penny and worth the trip.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! WILL NOT HONOR TEE TIME.
THE COURSE DIDN'T HONOR MY GOLF NOW HOT DEAL. MANAGER WAS OFFENSIVE AND YELLED AT ME FOR ASKING WHAT THEY WOULD DO ABOUT THE 45 MIN DRIVE I MADE AND THE RECEIPT OF PAYMENT I HAD.. HE TOLD ME TO LEAVE OR HE WOULD CALL THE COPS, ALL WHILE SCREAMING AND CURSING. THE COURSE IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AND GOING DOWN HILL. BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! TOO BAD I USTA LOVE PLAYING THERE. I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!!
Elevation? A lot!
This course has the most elevation changes in Ohio. It's difficult to play the first time through. It'll make you change your selection often. Some of the course conditions could have been improved slightly but for the price, can't beat it!
Great elevation changes
Only complaint is they do not have water to drink on the course and no beverage cart
Good place to play
The set up of this course is AWSOME. Tons of elevation changes, a fair amount of twists and turns and blind shots. There are some holes to just leave the driver in the bag and lay up. Now for the downside. It is a bit of a drive from Columbus, but worth it. The greens still show aeration and it did cause a few missed putts. Otherwise they roll pretty well. There are some parts of the couse that needs attention, a few greens and fairways have some bad spots, not huge or anything. But if not tended to, it could get worse. The cart paths are ok, but there again are some spots that need help. Everything I mention is just to set expectation, not cause you to pass on this course. I played the whites (6K) and I shot my usuall 94.....It does make you use every club in the bag. You have to play this course at least once to get a feel. The second time will be more enjoyable because you know where to place the ball.
layout is very scenic and the course layout is challenging because of the many side hill and down hill lies.
Course is definitely fun to play. Course condition is generally good. Ball washers could use some maintenance. Because of distance from major metro areas, glad to see course back on Golf Now to justify the long drive to the course. Hopefully new owners will continue to maintain course in good condition and continue to welcome play
Good course for beginners and intermediate skills, although there are a few very difficult holes.
Seems like its in better shape this year although the sand traps are not.
Always a dependable course for a good round and other golfers I've met there have always been very friendly.
Interesting layout
The course has many elevation changes, A nice change of pace from typical Central Ohio courses.
Great value
Have played this course many times, always a pleasure to return, Challenging elevations. Great to test your club selection. As mentioned, a great day of golf for the price.
An Interesting Test of Golf
I played Tree Links three times this year and would go there more often if it was closer to Dublin. The elevation change is rare in an Ohio course and there are several holes which are unique in my experience.
The Golfnow price was outstanding even figuring in the distance from home. The greens crew is doing a good job for a course that is up for sale.
If you hate weeds in the fairway or slow teen golfers don't go. If you like an interesting test of golf, by all means check it out.
