One of the more challenging courses in the area
The course to play if your driving and putting confidence is very high.
Former country club, play it before it closes
Played 18 on a Thursday. I was paired with another Golfnow.com customer and we were the only players on the course. I was very impressed with the conditions. No leaves and beautiful fairways. Greens were medium fast. Was able to use driver on all but 2 tees because most holes have large landing areas. Ball washers and signs were not available but I heard this might be the the end of the line for this former PGA tournament venue. I would advise everyone to try and play a round because this was a private club until last year.
Spectacular vintage golf course
This 1920s course designed by Bert Way (of Firestone fame) is a visually stunning course. I played here in mid October and the fall foliage added to the breathtaking views on virtually every hole. The course is long even from the forward tees. The rough was very difficult to get out of and there were many hazards to contend with. The greens were in good shape; fast and subtle in undulation. I understand that the course has been sold and will be transformed into a park. That is a tremendous loss to area golfers as this is truly a gem of an old style course. I only wish I had played here more often!
Awesome!
Never expected to enjoy the course as much as we did. I researched the course's history before playing and was excited - but the layout and condition was much better than advertised! I was disturbed about the players in front of us driving carts all over the course and tearing it up - a ranger is required.
course was in great condition
i enjoyed playing the course it held a p g a turny in the 70's.
then got run down in the mid 2000's went public and is now getting back into shape
tough course well maintained
Must play course, nice shape tough par 4s must hit it straight off the tee
One of the Best in Northeast Ohio
I've played this course 3 times this year... It is always in perfect condition and plays like a course @ twice the cost...
Back 9 is a little tough :) front side is a little more forgiving.
Staff is great.
Highly recommend
