Always Good
I have played this course numerous times over the years and have always found it to be a fun and challenging course. I would easily recommend this this course to all of my fellow golfers.
A Nice Play Away From the City
First time playing this course and had a great time. Course was in good shape except for a couple of areas where the river had exceeded it's banks. Fairways were great and the greeens putted true. Lots of different types of shots requiring all the clubs in the bag. The weather was perfect and pace of play was great...got around in under 4 hours. Golf shope gentleman was very helpful and made sure all our wants were met. Would definitely recommend this course.
A Day Well Spent
Had a Sunday morning tee time and pace of play was not an issue. We finished in just over 3 hours. This is a wonderful course with lots of character. There are a variety of holes that will test even the best golfer. Greens were excellent...putted smooth, quick and true. Fairways were nicely cut which made for good fairway shots. Rough was long, not a place to go! We had a great time golfing in perfect weather. Will definitely play this course again. A gem of a course.
Great Golf Course
For the beginning of the season it was a great Golf Course. It looks the people in charge are taking care of it. Will definitely play again
Excellent Course
I played this course solo on a great July morning. Course was wide open despite being Mens Day. They usually come in later in the morning.
Course was in excellent condition despite all the wet weather they have had in the area this spring and early summer. Watch out for holes 10-13. The creek that winds through those holes is running fast and high!
Just enough terrain, trees & length to make the course challenging, but not unplayable for a higher handicap player like myself.
Fairways were in great condition and great to play from. The rough was lush and challenging to hit from.
The staff I had contact were friendly and when I complimented their course I could tell they are proud of it.
I can definitely recommend this course to anyone who is in the area.
Challenging course
I always enjoy my rounds of golf at Jamestown CC. It has an excellent mix of straightforward to challenging, precise shot holes.
No replay rate
I have never ever played a course where they do not give you a break on a replay on the same day. Business must be good as will not return!
Ridiculous
I purchased a round at this course last year, only to show up and the manager say that there was no times for non-members. I got no satisfaction from the manager at all. He was actually very rude. So, year later, I tried again because of new management. Now, I booked a tee time and things were fine. But, now, after two times playing the course, I received a call saying that I have played the course too much and I am not able to play again. Nothing on either website says anything about that! I gave this country club two chances and never again!
Good Course
I like to play this course about once a year just to change it up. I live about 100 miles from this course but like to play different courses so I always try to include the CC. The course is laid out well and has a good mix of hole difficulties.
Greens
The greens on this course have traditionally been some of the best in North Dakota. However, they suffered some type of winter kill and are in terrible condition. One green is currently being rebuilt (#7) and only #11 showed no damage.
Jamestown CC
A super nice course that all should play at least one time. Staff was awesome, and course could not have been in better condition. A lengthy layout with wide open fairways make this course a must play.
lovely setting, good fairways and greens
This was a very nice course. We played on a Thurs. and the course was empty. Got a super rate on golfnow. Tee to green in excellent cond. Nice sand in bunkers. I put that it was an easy to moderate course but that's for better golfers than me. I still muff some shots so scoring isn't great but its easy to stay in the fairways and get on the green on this course. A few water holes and tee obstructions but generally, straightforward and all shots visible. Tree lined but generous fairways. I would enjoy a replay of this course.
Truly Great Course
Beautiful Trees line the course, great condition of the fairways and the greens were immaculate, extreemely friendly staff. We are going to play it again today. Beautiful enough that we are going to bring the wives to see this course and we have never done this before.
Looking forward to working in our recently remodeled proshop.
The course is a private country club that allows non-members to play twice a year. Most private country clubs do not allow non-members to play without a member in the group. If you would like to continue to play, maybe think about joining their course?
