Bald Head Island Club, a George Cobb-designed golf course, is only reachable by ferry. Views of the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Fear River are breathtaking on the ride over, the layout itself is one of the most under appreciated in the state. A demanding, challenging and scenic course that would rank among North Carolina's best if it were on the mainland.
