Wil-Mar Golf Club in Raleigh has been family owned and operated since it first opened in 1961. The layout offers different experiences on its front and back nines and while it may be somewhat short at just over 6,100 yards, there are still some challenging holes. The golf course starts out playing across wide-open, spacious meadows before becoming much more wooded on the back nine where mature trees line the fairways. The course itself is lush and scenic and the surrounding forests and wetlands are inhabited by an abundance of wildlife, adding another visual element to your round. The landscape is mostly flat, making it not only a good course to walk but also a beginner-friendly layout. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and two practice putting greens at Wil-Mar Golf Club.
