Course Actually Designed Stiles and Van Kleek

Course is not a Ross course but a Wayne Stiles and John Van Kleek course. Course has to have some of the wildest untouched 1920s greens out there.

We walked this course which ended up being rough as the course is quite hilly. Conditions were iffy, but greens and layout make up for it.

Try it, you might like it!

I'm a little biased because I'm a member here. But, if you hadn't played this course before Dale took it over, you can't appreciate the improvements and current conditions. The course conditions get better each year.

That said, the course has enough challenges to keep your mind on your game. Par 3's will test your short game, anything wide will punish you.

If your out for a quick 9, you can't find a better course. Play is usually fast and the scenery is beautiful.

Nice Donald Ross design

First of all any course that is a Donald Ross design it will be nice. This is just a municipal course that I played when I came up for the day. This course has gotten a few poor reviews but I thought the staff was accomidating and the course was maintained well. When you check in there will be a friendly dog and pictures and a bar in the back of the clubhouse. The course is relatively easy but they didn't have much in 1927. The greens where the only thing iffy but on the other hand the plants and trees are buetifuel. This course is right near The highway which can be a disturbance when on 8 and 9. If you are here walk it is a lot more fun to look at this course then drive in a cart. Overall not a bad muni.

Little Municipal Course

A simple municipal nine hole course. Greens were fair condition. Fairways a mess. If need a little practice might be worth the play. Otherwise, better options in the area.

Good setting

Course is in a nice valley with a highway separating holes 1-7 and 8-9. A good introduction to mountain golf with some great scenery, Greens in good shape but tees need some work. Staff was very friendly, will play again when in the area.

Darn nice course

They are making a great effort at improving this course. We have been coming up this area for about 10 years and I love playing the mountain courses. When I first played this course it was in rough condition but I think someone else took it over and is seriously working to improve it. In case you've not played it, it is a 9 hole course, you play the same 9 twice for 18 holes. It is a good value for price and quality.
