"I have always said that if I could drop this course onto the same piece of property as Sandpiper Bay (to the south in Ocean Isle Beach) that the tee sheets here would always be full," marketing director and long-time member Larry Schreiber told a TravelGolf.com reviewer. "But then again, this is one of the prettiest pieces of property that I have ever seen, and I don't know if I would trade it for anything."

The semi-private, member-owned course was a finalist for Myrtle Beach Golf Magazine's "most picturesque course" and "friendliest golf staff" in 2002. It was also acclaimed by Golf Digest when it opened in 1989 and has received up to four stars from the magazine in its "places to play" list.
