Great golf with fabulous views
The final 9 of the 27 holes built by Jack Nicklaus in the early 90s is a fun and challenging course. Big elevation changes make it fun. Due to the big drop in elevation it is even possible to drive the par four 27th hole from the back tees and the gals can also make the green from the forward tees with a big hit. The 270 degree view from this hole is over 20 miles, overlooking Jordan Lake and the surrounding forests. It is spectacular vista in the fall.
The other holes are varied, the two par threes are short but challenging one over water has bunkers front and back to catch wayward shots . The 25th green is elevated up a narrow fairway with a creek on the right side, a big hill on the left and a three level green that makes it difficult to complete in 3 shots.
Of the three coures, this one has the most target golf but is also the shortest and usually the nine that garners the best scores. Don't miss it, the view alone is worth the price.
