The West Course is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Westchester Country Club. The long and hilly course is a regular stop for PGA Tour events. Accuracy is a necessity for doing well since the layout weaves through dense groves of pine, oak, and maple trees. It is a formidable test with tight, tree-lined fairways and fast greens that are riddled with deceptive breaks. Many holes are accented with thick rough and a man-made lake comes into play on one hole. To add to the golf course's many challenges, there are also rocky outcroppings scattered throughout the landscape that create some tricky blind spots. The signature hole is the penultimate par 4, which begins with a tee shot uphill to a dogleg right fairway and then an approach shot over water to the green.
