Best in The area

This is a tight course with some of the hardest holes in Dutchess County. The 11th could be the hardest I've played. Very long par 4. The staff is friendly. Course conditions were excellent and the greens were fast and true. Very walkable and not crowded.

Awful

I am a new golfer but I must say this course is brutal...the greens were muddy and it hasn't rained lately! The fairways were like deserts and the grass wasn't cut. The staff looked at us like we had three heads and was very rude. Right away we thought we must be at one gorgeous course with the attitudes these people had but no the course was poorly maintained. The tee boxes looked like someone went off roading! Good thing we paid the golf now price because the normal price is like 60 and paying that would make me sick

The poorest condition I've ever played.

This course is not cheap at all but the course condition was the worst among the courses I've ever played. I had a tee time at 2:08 pm and was supposed to play with the other three people in the same tee time. I arrived at 1:40 pm, but those three people just released to play the first tee..... and I ended up with play single.... I'll never play in this course again. Poor course, poor coordination... not worth spend a dime.

used to be a great course

I was a member here from 200-2008. i have never seen this course in such poor condition. the fairways were brown and there was evidence that puddles had formed and left clay where grass used to be. The greens were in good shape and were being watered. This course want bankrupt in 2012 and has been taken over by a bank and some private investors. they need to get a groundskeeper who knows what he is doing. I play at other courses in the area and they are all in much better shape than Dutchess.Very disapointing. If I were looking to join a private club I would not join here due to the conditions.

Great golf experience

A mature course with great views, majestic trees including, oaks pines and cypress. Some fairway water damage believed to be due to recent weather conditions. Great shot values on all holes. A great overall golf challenge. One annoyance was the bees/yellow jackets in the sand traps.

Definitely a must play

Great old school course. Lots of tight holes that require precise drives. Nice par 3's that got your attention. Great old school course. Don't let less distance and par 70 fool you. Tough track but definitely a must play in Hudson Valley. Fantastic value!

Beautiful private country club experience for a day.

Course is immaculate, staff is super friendly and accommodating, and best greens I've putted on all season. Awesome value too!

Doug and his staff truly make you feel like a long time member and true friend. Great experience!

Patrick was in the pro shop when we finished, and never made us feel rushed to leave. Great customer service.

Good addition to Golfnow

Dutchess CC was a private course, now being semi-private. So, that was the first time I got a chance to play it. I was very curious. The course is in very good shape, the front nine has many tight holes, the back nine for me is the better part.

The staff is very attentative und friendly.

In the neighborhood of Dutchess CC you can find several other public courses. They mostly are cheaper than DCC and are wonderful as well. DCC is a matching Addition to Golfnow.

Slow but true greens on an impecably maintained course.

I'm a former member at Dutchess and am happy they are allowing outside play. An absolutely GREAT VALUE at $55 weekdays. Played in 3:20. The greens were a bit slow but they rolled true. Was told by a member that they had been aerated 3 weeks ago and are probably scheduled to be cut and rolled shortly. Otherwise, the course was in great condition - well maintained fairways, generous first cut and thick rough. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great course, great price, great staff. Looking for a return visit or two or three or four.

Very good greens

To start my day off, the pro shop only accepts C.C. ,no problem I all ways carry a card. Then when he handed me my receipt it was forty dollars more than your listed web price! They wanted to charge me holiday price, I told him no this what was listed and he charge me the rate on my sheet that I printed. Then there was a play off going on. Then we waited atleast a hour, we killed time at the range and putting green in which I need to do. We finally tee off and we finished the first hole, we tee off on hole two and we get to our second shot and we are behind the play off for the next two holes in which it took forty five minutes. All in all I. Would never go back, I used to be a member at a private club, we used to post it! Why should I be punished when I am paying too. Not happy on my day off, I would of went someplace else.......
