Unique layout

The hills are definitely Rolling on this course. Nearly every hole has one or more elevation changes. A few quirky holes. #3 is a very tight layup dogleg; Several holes with blind shots over hills … #17 in particular requires some local knowledge to navigate the big drop off to the green. There are 5 holes that tee off over a road… not much traffic fortunately. First few holes feel a little claustrophobic, but opens up nicely in middle of the course. Greens are in excellent shape… a little on small side perhaps. Overall pleasantly surprised… would be happy to play this course once or twice a year.

Great Devereaux Emmet Course in Upstate NY

Found out that Emmet designed the back 9 and renovated original 9 and decided to play. Course used to be all private called The Antlers Club.

It has great terrain, superb greens, perfect conditions and rolling terrain with great scenery. A must play if in the area.

Lucky to Find Rolling Hills

My wife and I found Rolling Hills through Group Golfer and are we glad we did. The layout, which is what I judge a golf course on, was really fun to play. Nice elevation changes particularly on Par 3's and tiny greens that put a premium on getting up and down. The people we met including all the course maintenance people were really friendly. The range was shut down so instead of range tokens the head pro Joe gave us bottles of water. The Restaurant looked great but is only open Tues and Thurs for dinner and we will be back for dinner. Give it a shot but do not get too caught up with your score (not easy). Just really enjoy the environment.
