Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York offers three 18-hole golf courses. Designed in 1914, the Red Course was the first to open and it is the crown jewel of the trio. Built in the time of hickory-shafted clubs, the course originally had a 6,000-yard layout that was a typical length for the time. The layout has since been extended to 7,107 yards from the championship tees. The golf course has a history with the PGA of America that dates back to 1926 when it was the host of the PGA Championship, and more recently it has hosted the PGA Champions Tour. It's both a player-friendly and spectator-friendly course with mostly flat and short distances between the greens and tees. In addition to the Red Course and the other two 18-hole courses, both designed by Robert Trent Jones, Eisenhower Park also offers four nine-hole courses, three driving ranges, and two mini-golf courses.
