Opened in 1909, Leatherstocking Golf Course is located just around the corner from downtown Cooperstown. The course predates the Baseball Hall of Fame by nearly 30 years, and sits along the shores of Lake Otsego. Part of the historic Otesaga Resort Hotel next to the golf course, Leatherstocking was designed by Devereux Emmet and features many steep bunkers and fast, sloping greens. The par-5 finishing hole plays along the shores of the lake from a tee box that was built out into the water, and hugs the lake the entire way.
