Conklin Players Club is one of upstate New York's most popular public golf courses. It is a local favorite that is known for its immaculate conditions and scenic views overlooking wooded hills. The golf course is at its most stunning in the fall when waves of orange, gold, and red sweep across the terrain. At 6,772 yards, it's not a terribly long golf course but don't let the scorecard fool you. Be prepared for a variety of elevation changes and a few tricky doglegs. Accurate shot placement is the key to doing well. Water hazards come into play on several holes, most notably on the course's signature par-3 10th, which has an island green. Conklin Players Club's par-4 16th is the no. 1 handicap hole. This severe dogleg right plays from an elevated tee with out-of-bounds on the left. The elevated green usually requires an extra club or two.
