Flanders Valley Golf Club - White/Blue Course
About
Flanders Valley Golf Course has received praise as not only one of the best public golf courses in New Jersey, but also as one of the best in the U.S. Flanders offers two 18-hole championship courses, White-to-Blue and Red-to-Gold. The courses are spread across over 400 acres of Morris County's idyllic countryside. The White-to-Blue Course has a more traditional layout that sprawls across mostly flat terrain. The golf course may lack elevation changes but there are an abundance of mature trees to contend with on either side of the course, making it very tight in some spots. One of the most memorable holes is the par-4 14th, nicknamed "Top and Right." This slight dogleg left hole has a pond bordering the entire left side of the fairway.

Pretty, memorable finisher! Photo submitted by MarkMolyneux on 11/16/2015
Course is in great shape
Been playing FV for many years and this year in particular the course is in great shape. Greens are settling in, but beautiful. Fairways have some spots here and there, but in general they're in great shape. We got caught behind some walkers so pace was slower than it should've been but still finished in ~4 hours. For the price, I can't recommend it enough.
Work needed
Played Flanders Gold/Red 4/29 & most of the course was fine.
Bunkers and Tees need work DESPERATELY!!
Fairways, greens, and rough areas were good.
They ALWAYS have time to blow off the Fairways when tee boxes and bunkers need work soon before they get worse.
Also, the Cart Fees are quite steep at $23 per person.
$50 for a Senior county resident with a cart is STEEP
cold windy day
played blue to white. course in excellent condition for april. weather was cold, windy and some rain. other wise a great day
Gold to Red...............
From very wet, very muddy on Gold to a better Red back nine.
Gold is hilly (nice layout) but very challenging especially if you're not standing in a dry section of the fairway(!). Second, third cuts, out of bounds are automatic 'take a drop'. Tee boxes, bunkers were so so, but the greens were surprisingly above average.
The Red is nice, mostly flat, open, less challenging (dryer) but fun and forgiving.
Staff is very nice and accomodating.....next time trying the Blue/White.
Course in pristine conditions
I played Flanders Golf and Red today and many times before.
I have not seen the course in pristine conditions as I found it today. Fairways, Greens, roughs , and every part of course is well maintained and ready for play.
Staff super friendly
The pace was little slower due to some beginners but nothing impacting the enjoyment of playing. Two/three minutes in some holes does not matter.
I will try to play again in the coming days/weeks
Great open and very walkable
Course is great, conditions are very good, stuffs are very friendly. I like the open and wide fairways. As beginner, is very good, definitely going back.
