Nice course but disappointed

We have always enjoyed playing at Portsmouth. The course is very nice! There were some areas that were burnt around the edges but because of the warm weather and no rain. The greens and fairways were in great shape. The reason I could not give the course a 4 or 5 was Portsmouth allows groups of 5 and 6 to play together that hold up the course and they don't care, meaning the players. They were very arrogant and rude. They will not let anyone go through but I suppose they would be letting everyone play through. Running around the course because you are a six!em is not the way to play. This is the first time in my 30 years of play have I ever seen a course allows this type of play. Ruined the day!

Portsmouth CC

One of the true championship golf courses in Northern New England. A classic Robert Trent Jones design in a beautiful setting amongst the marshes of the Great Bay. Long and challenging in spots, but not as demanding if the rough is down. Can be a very long course and if in the right condition could be a great test of golf. One of the more peaceful settings you will ever experience on a golf course. Love PCC and any avid golfer will appreciate this place.
