The Club at Sunrise is located in eastern Las Vegas, just a few minutes from the Strip. When it first opened in 1964, it was known as the Desert Rose Golf Course but a major flood in 2012 forced the reconstruction of the course. The original par-71 layout was modified to minimize future flood damage as well as to create a more enjoyable and challenging playing experience. Tees were elevated, playing areas were shifted away from houses, and the widths of the landing areas were increased along each hole. The golf course's new configuration is more walkable and provides a scenic finishing hole. One of The Club at Sunrise's toughest holes comes early on in the round on the par-5 fourth. This tricky hole is a lengthy 607 yards, and features out-of-bounds on the left and water on the right.
