Description
Nu-Waiv Kaiv/Snow Montain at Las Vegas Paiute Resort is nestled amongst wild flowers and a landscaped sea of warm browns and dusty olives that create an oasis of colorful boundaries that separate each hole. Nu-Waiv Kaiv was the first master planned multi-course developed on Native American land. The course has wide rye grass fairways and a variety of tee lengths and angles. Natural areas separate each hole.
The Snow Mountain course at the three-course Pete Dye-designed Paiute Resort offers plenty of scenery, that usual inventive Pete Dye feel and a noticeable lack of Dye hacker-crushing bite.
This is one Pete Dye where he's not trying to kill you. At the same time, Dye still throws a variety of risk-reward choices at golfers, shorter par 5s and par 4s that just dare a golfer to tempt the fates and go for it.
The fairways are plenty wide at Snow Mountain, but it's still in the often eye-popping Native American Paiute land.
