Annual play

Have not played this course in over a year, but it was great to get back on.

The day started out overcast, but got really hot fast. As the day went along, greens got very fast.

Opening hole is a 110 yard par 3 guarded by a large tree and a pond in front. Two is a little dog leg right, but stay left or the creek and trees come in play.

Overall the course is pretty straight forward, but fun. Some short holes, but with smallish greens, trying to drive them isn't the best move. Just decent Iron play will put you in position to score on this course.

The course was in outstanding shape and the greens were fast and firm. Even with all the rain, the rough was not a real issue.

I paid $34 for 18 and a cart on a holiday, but the course can be played during the week for $20 before noon. This is with a cart. A great deal.

First Time Playing

Small town. Very nice course.

Golfed this with a buddy on a windy day. We played the front from the whites and the back from the blues. It really changed the way you played the course. Fairways were in great shape, the greens were fast and true, but the excessive heat in this are has caused a few to show some stress. The course is different from a lot of small town courses, almost all holes had a dogleg left or right. The view of the church on #9 is pretty cool.

My one gripe is a sign on #3 that says golfers are responsible for damages to the houses that line the hole. Really a crock. The course was there before the house.
