Wild Horse Golf Club is located in Gothenburg, in the heart of Nebraska. Although the location may not be what you think of when you are looking for a premier golf destination, the course itself has been ranked as one of the best in the Midwest. It has a following among locals because it is one of the area's most affordable and most challenging rounds. The links-style layout flows across native Nebraska prairie, bringing tall grasses into play throughout. Like any typical links golf course, trees are sparse and the sweeping winds that blow across the prairie will definitely be a factor in your round. Although it is just barely over 6,800 yards, it feels much longer with many holes that play directly into the wind. With bunkers and tall grasses lurking throughout, staying in the fairways is the key to scoring well on this golf course.
