Hidden Gem
This is definitely one of the best courses in the St. Louis area and for the price you can’t beat it. Greens are in tremendous shape and the fairways continue to improve. The course layout is challenging but certainly playable. I have been playing here for years and will continue to come back.
Great Day
Fun course, had a great time, fairways were good shape , greens were good (some ball marks because some r to lazy to fix their’s) really like playing.
Jefferson County rocks and hills
Cart path was broken concrete, pothole ridden asphalt and gravel mix. The fairways were narrow, steep and rock hard, even a respectable tee shot would bounce out of bounds and get lost in the very rough looking rough. Sand traps lacked sand. The houses on the course are waaaay too close. I could hear people’s private conversations on their back patio while teeing and putting. Plus, the entire Raintree neighborhood seems rowdy. Loud vehicles driving everywhere and somewhere on the back 9 someone was target shooting a gun.
Greens were in decent shape, that’s about all the positive I can speak of.
nice layout
Its the beginning of the season so fairways were still dormant. Greens are in really good shape, just wish people would clean up their divots. Course has a nice layout.
This course is tough
The greens were in fantastic condition for late winter. The rest of the course was in rough shape. The course design is very difficult. Forced layups, tight majorly slanted fairways with many blind tee shots. Also there are houses very close to the fairways and greens.
Average Course
The course was in average condition for the time of year. The greens were in great shape and very true. I was frustrated with how sloped the fairways were, I hit my drive over the cart path in the left side of hole 1 about 250 yards, and it still managed to roll down the hill and out of bounds, crossing the entire fairway, and fairways that do that are never fun to play on because they punish good shots. That happened a few more times on other holes. Other than that, it's an OK course.
Course is taken care of, greens are tough to read but a nice challenge. Worst part was the horseflies that swarmed you every single hole, whether on the tee box, in the fairway or in the middle of a putting stroke. Nothing they can do about them but won’t be going back due to that fact.
First time at Raintree
Greens were perfect and rolled true. Couple of the fairways were not playable and the rough due to recent rains were long and difficult to find wayward balls. I will be back
Terrible Condition
The fairways are d. e. a. d. So sad. Looks like at one point back in the day this may have been a nice course but now it's very unappealing to look at, and just about every shot your hitting off hard pan dirt or mud. Greens were nice. Course needs a lot of money and TLC. Also, no cart person or restaurant in the club house. They did have a nice concession stand at the turn. For roughly $40 a person it should be at least a little better.
Nice Course
This is a very nice course. It has tough tee shots and rolling hills so it is a shot-shapers course from the tips but very playable from the whites. The staff is always top-notch no matter who is working the pro shop.
