Fun, short, contoured Exec 9

This was a 2nd round on this course recommended by a friend who lives relatively close by for a quick 9 when you don't have a window to play 18. For that, it's a good fit.

The 1st time we played it, we had to rent clubs. It might be a course playable with handful of clubs: long iron or hybrid, 7, wedge, and putter? A driver is not required. The longest hole is 357y. This time we had our own clubs, which drew out my driver. The woods are reachable on #3, 6, and 9!

The course is 1970y from blue & 1746y from red tees. The rating & slope are 30.5/112 for men, 30.2/106 for ladies. There's a fair bit of elevation change. There's a driving range, practice putting green, trees, some water, and friendly staff. The rates are reasonable: $17 to walk, $12.90 for seniors. It's easily walkable.

This April, the greens looked fast, but looks can deceive. It's a course that rewards folks using drivers who have shot shape control. The bunkers have fairly soft/fluffy sand.

The course seems to be popular among those learning the game, They are participants of The First Tee and LPGA-USGA Girls Golf. Some school buses drop off teams here. Pace of play is a comfortable 2 hours.

There are turkeys that frequent the course, and the geese seem sparse enough.

For someone seeking a quick 9, especially someone who wants to play irons.
